Our Devon Home
Ambrosia has been made in Devon for more than 100 years with our creamery in Lifton, Devon, founded in 1917. This is where all of our Ambrosia ambient products are made and where our desserts research and development team is based, developing new products and flavours.
Sustainability
Ambrosia custard and rice pudding are made with West Country milk. One of the farms we source milk from is run by the Blee family. They’ve milked cows on their 220-acre farm at Lower Trenower on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula since 1945. Their herd of Holstein-Fresians provide milk to clotted cream supplier Rodda’s where the cream is separated before the remaining skimmed milk is transferred to our creamery in Lifton, Devon, to be used in Ambrosia custard and rice pudding.
The cows are grazed for eight to nine months of the year and the family works closely with an agronomist – an expert in soil management – to keep the grass healthy and rich in nutrients. The Blees operate a low-stress system, which means the cows all calf during the late summer and autumn, are milked through the winter and spring and then milking times are reduced over the summer.
Ambrosia Devon Custard
A family favourite for over 50 years, Ambrosia custard is made in our Devon Creamery, using West Country milk. Custard is the perfect accompaniment to your favourite family desserts or to enjoy as a tasty snack or on its own.
Made without artificial flavours and no added colours, Ambrosia is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. The range is available in cans, cartons and snack pots, and there is a lighter version too, with 30% less fat and sugar! Also great for kids are Ambrosia Mini Pots, fortified with extra Calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones.
Ambrosia Rice Pudding
A family favourite for over 50 years, Ambrosia rice pudding is made in our Devon Creamery, using West Country milk. Rice pudding is the perfect dessert to customise for a family pudding or to enjoy as a tasty snack on its own.
Made using 100% natural flavours, with no preservatives or artificial colours, Ambrosia is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. The range is available in cans and snack pots, and there is a lighter version too, with 30% less fat and sugar! Ambrosia Deluxe
Ambrosia Deluxe is our thickest, most luxurious velvety custard and rice. Deluxe is made at our West Country Creamery and blended with our finest ingredients such as fresh cream and madagascan vanilla to create the perfect indulgent dessert.

Deluxe custard and rice comes in a range of indulgent flavours and formats, Deluxe Custard is available in a can, carton and in twin packs of individual pots in indulgent Madagascan Vanilla, Salted Caramel, and Belgian Chocolate flavours. Deluxe Rice is available in a can in West Country cream flavour and twin packs of individual pots in creamy Madagascan Vanilla and Salted Caramel.

Ambrosia Porridge Pots
Ambrosia Ready to Eat Porridge Pots are the perfect way to start your day. This deliciously creamy grab-and-go pot is super convenient and can be enjoyed either hot or cold. Our products are made with British wholegrain oats and doesn’t contain any artificial colours or preservatives, they are also low fat and suitable for vegetarians.
